Huron Live Edge Ash Dining Table
One big live edge table! 35" wide x 95-1/2" long makes for an impressive dining experience. The table was constructed from two live edge ash harvested in West Michigan, kiln dried and handcrafted to a fine finish using a spar varnish to gives it the ultimate protection from the elements and years of touch use. Finished off with matte black powder coated legs and supports that were fabricated and finished with automotive grade powder coat locally.
The goal, design a live edge table for use on an outside porch that would be plenty big for large parties during spring, summer and fall. Full two inch thick slabs of ash were used to add not only strength but to add a wow factor to the appearance. The entire table top is coated with 4 coats of Spar Marine Varnish for a great look and protection from the elements. The base is made from 11 gauge steel and protected with a matte finish powder coat.
